At Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC, we understand that plans can change. Our refund policy is designed to provide clear expectations regarding booking fees, cancellations, and payments for newborn care, overnight care, daytime nannying, and related services.
1. Booking Fee
A $500 booking fee is required to secure and reserve a client’s requested dates and availability.
The booking fee:
Is non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed.
Is separate from service charges and does not apply toward hourly service fees, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC.
Reserves the provider’s availability for the agreed-upon booking period.
May be forfeited if the client cancels after the booking has been confirmed.
2. Cancellation by the Client
Because scheduled dates are reserved specifically for each family, cancellations may result in the loss of the booking fee and/or other payments already made.
Clients should notify Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC as soon as possible if they need to cancel or change their scheduled services.
Any refund of payments beyond the booking fee will be considered based on:
How far in advance the cancellation is made
Whether the dates can be rebooked
Services already provided
Any non-refundable expenses incurred by the company
3. Changes to Booking Dates
Requests to change the dates of a booking are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
If the requested dates cannot be accommodated, the original cancellation terms will apply.
4. Services Already Provided
Payments for services that have already been provided are non-refundable.
Once an overnight or daytime shift has been completed, payment for that shift remains due regardless of whether the client subsequently requests a refund.
5. Early Termination of Services
If a client chooses to end an ongoing service arrangement before the agreed-upon end date, Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC will review any unused prepaid amounts on a case-by-case basis.
The booking fee remains non-refundable.
6. Cancellation or Termination by Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC
Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC reserves the right to cancel or terminate services when necessary, including circumstances involving:
Unsafe working conditions
Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct
Failure to provide a safe environment for the newborn care specialist
Nonpayment or repeated late payment
Violation of the company’s service policies or agreement
If Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC cancels a booking before services begin for reasons within the company’s control, any refund due will be determined based on the circumstances and applicable payments received.

7. Agreement to This Policy
By submitting a booking request, paying a booking fee, or confirming services with Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy.
