At Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC, we understand that caring for a newborn involves information that is personal and sensitive. We are committed to protecting the privacy, safety, dignity, and well-being of every newborn and child entrusted to our care.
Information About Newborns and Babies
Parents or legal guardians may provide information necessary for us to safely and appropriately provide care, including:
Baby’s name and date of birth
Feeding schedule and feeding preferences
Breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or formula information
Sleep routines and preferences
Diapering and toileting information
Allergies or sensitivities
Medications or special instructions provided by the parent or guardian
Pediatrician or emergency-contact information when necessary
Information about developmental or care needs
Information regarding twins, multiples, premature infants, or other special care considerations
Use of Baby’s Information
Information about a newborn or child will be used only as reasonably necessary to:
Provide appropriate newborn care
Follow the parents’ care instructions
Maintain feeding and sleep routines
Support safe diapering and hygiene
Communicate with parents or guardians
Respond appropriately to an emergency
Coordinate services requested by the family
We do not sell or use a baby’s personal information for unrelated marketing purposes.
Photos and Videos
Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC will not photograph, record, post, or share identifiable images or videos of a newborn or child for advertising, social media, websites, or other promotional purposes without appropriate written permission from the parent or legal guardian.
Parents may also request that their baby’s image or information not be photographed or recorded during services.
Confidentiality
Information shared by parents regarding their newborn or family will be treated as confidential and will not be casually shared with friends, family members, other clients, or members of the public.
Information may be disclosed when necessary to provide care, respond to an emergency, comply with the law, or protect the safety of the newborn, family, caregiver, or another person.
Safe and Respectful Care
Our Newborn Care Specialists are expected to provide care in a professional, respectful, and safety-conscious manner.
Care may include feeding support, diapering, soothing, newborn hygiene, burping, appropriate supervised tummy time, newborn sleep support, and other non-medical newborn-care activities agreed upon with the family.
Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Parents remain responsible for medical decisions concerning their child and should consult their child’s healthcare provider for medical concerns.
Parent/Guardian Authorization
By providing information about a newborn or child to Gentle Hands Baby Services LLC, the parent or legal guardian authorizes us to use that information as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services, subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
